At SharedAccessCommons, we recognize that plans may shift, and we are committed to offering transparent and just refund conditions. This document specifies the terms under which refunds might be granted for yacht rental services.
Please review this document thoroughly prior to making a reservation. By reserving a charter with SharedAccessCommons, you are accepting and agreeing to these terms for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Full reimbursement minus administrative charges
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions
Terms: Must be requested in written form through email or phone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half of the entire cost of the charter
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund
Stipulations: A valid rationale needed; service charges apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No refunds provided
Exception: Situations of urgency may be taken into account
Substitute: Credit for charter might be awarded at the discretion of management
Prerequisites: Evidence required for claims of emergency
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Assurance Regarding Weather
Your safety prevails. In the event our certified captain determines the weather to be unfit for yachting, we provide flexible alternatives:
- Complete Refund: Fully returned payment if it's not possible to reschedule
- Reschedule: Change your booking to an available date without additional fees
- Charter Credit: Get a credit that's valid for a year from the original booking date
Evaluating Weather Conditions
The criteria we use for judging weather include:
- Analyzing wind patterns and force
- Assessing sea conditions and wave size
- Checking visibility and forecasting precipitations
- Obeying advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
- A safety assessment from a professional captain
Time for Decision: Determinations regarding weather cancellations are made no less than 4 hours ahead of the set sailing time.
Refunds in the Event of Medical Emergencies
Events of Urgency
Situations that might be grounds for special reflections are as follows:
- Sudden ailments or injuries that necessitate hospital stays
- Passing of a family member
- Unexpected military assignment or recall
- Requirement for jury service or a court subpoena
- Natural events that impact travel
Documentation for Emergencies
To handle requests for refunds owing to emergencies, we need:
- A medical affirmation or documentation from a hospital
- A death certificate, if relevant
- Military order copies
- Notices of court or jury service
- Emergency proclamations or travel warnings
Procedure: Emergency refund requests are acted upon between 3-5 working days after we receive appropriate documentation.
Cancellations Due to Operational Reasons
Issues Technically Related
If the yacht appointed to you suffers from technical issues that remain unresolved:
- Vessel Alternative: We'll try to offer a similar substitute
- Complete Refund: Provided if a suitable replacement isn't available
- Partial Refund: Should the substitute vessel differ in cost
- Compensation: Additional remuneration might be given for the trouble caused
Shortage of Crew
On the rare occasion that a certified crew member is unavailable:
- An alternate crew will be sought when feasible
- Full refund if the charter can't proceed
- Reschedule without additional fees
Procedure for Processing Refunds
Mode of Payment
We process reimbursements via the same financial method that was used to make the booking:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days
Fees for Processing
Credit Card Handling
€50 cost for cancellations executed over 72 hours in advance
Processing via Bank Transfer
€25 charge for all reimbursements done through bank transfer
Handling International Transactions
Additional charges may be incurred for transactions across countries
Issuance of Charter Credits
Cases for Credit Issuance
Charter credits might be granted instead of refunds under these scenarios:
- Late cancellation (less than 24 hours prior)
- Cancellations due to severe weather
- Voluntary requests to reschedule
- Delays or disruptions in service
Conditions of the Credit
- Validity: Good for one year from date of issue
- Non-transferable: Cannot be exchanged with other parties
- Value: Equals the full value of the charter without administrative fees
- Application: Usable for any charter that is currently available
- Lapse: No extension past the 12-month limit
Prorated Refunds for Incomplete Services
Interruptions During Service
If your yachting experience is cut short or interrupted due to factors we can manage:
- Reimbursement corresponding to the duration not utilized
- Credit for an equal value future charter
- Complimentary services or enhancements
Disruptions Caused by Guests
Should a charter end prematurely due to actions by guests or violations of safety guidelines:
- No return for the portion not used
- Total fees are still due
- Possibility of extra charges arising
Settling Refund Disagreements
Disputes over refund decisions can be dealt with through:
- Seeking a reevaluation by our administrative staff
- Offer of supplementary evidence or documentation
- Resolution via consumer protection authorities
- Legal action under the jurisdiction's law

Ensure the following is included in your plea:
- Token of booking
- Scheduled date and time
- Motivation for withdrawing

Our team will confirm your approach within a day, juxtapose it with this policy, inform you of our conclusion within two days, and proceed with endorsed refunds within the schedules noted herein.

- All solicitations for reimbursement should be made in a documentary format
- Refunds are executed in €, irrespective of the preliminary payment method
- It's highly advised to consider travel insurance
- The details within this policy may be altered given a 30-day notice
- Refunds are inclusive of relevant taxes and legal directives
